At the beginning of it’s 25th year, sadly the iconic Stokehouse at St Kilda Beach was lost to a fire on Friday 17 January 2014. The Van Haandel Group and the City of Port Phillip are currently planning to rebuild the Stokehouse as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Stokehouse will be launching a Pop-Up on the site before relocating to a temporary venue until the new venue on St Kilda Beach is built. Stokehouse Pop-Up is a temporary reincarnation of the iconic Stokehouse that was lost to fire on this year Friday 17 January. The trademark summer location, stunning signature panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay, personalised service and infectious, inimitable atmosphere is back for the late summer and is at the heart of the Stokehouse Pop-Up.
A fresh and exciting take on Stokehouse Restaurant and Stokehouse Café; the Pop-Up is led by Stokehouse Restaurant Managers, Joel Penno (14 years) and Anna Touhy (18 years), along with Restaurant Head Chef Ollie Gould (10 years) and Café Head Chef Nick Mahlook (9 years).
Stokehouse signature favourites - Beer battered fish & chips, Classic beef burger, Morton Bay Bug & prawn linguini and ‘The Bombe’ dessert – are back and available on the collaborative menu that suits all dining and drinking occasions.
Stokehouse Pop-Up is open seven days a week from 12noon-late, until Mother’s Day, Sunday 11 May 2014. Restaurant bookings are encouraged and walk-ins are welcomed.
Stokehouse and Stokehouse Café gift vouchers may be redeemed at Van Haandel Group restaurants including Fatto Bar & Cantina, Comme and Stokehouse Brisbane. To make a booking at one of these restaurants, please contact the venue of your choice.
Stokehouse gift vouchers will also be honoured at the Stokehouse Pop-Up and newly built Stokehouse.
